One drive, file keeps downloading?
It's stuck on one small file that it cannot upload, nor does it show the file name - so to move it or delete it or whatever. Any ideas on what can be done? At this stage I would presume that there would be discrepancies with important stuff in the cloud and locally.
Or to enforce a re-sync? I logged on via the browser, and found a file that was of corresponding size, and had been modified recently by another user. Well, sort of. Since this was at such state for over a week, I'm getting double copies of everything as OneDrive decided that it cannot merge the content. Happened to me before. All I did was move the file from OneDrive, put it back in again and it started syncing.
Yeah, I thought you'd say that But for me it's just saying that it's syncing 1 file of size x. Have you tried exiting OD then running it again? The only thing I haven't tried was a full re-sync because of doubt that onedrive is stupid enough to either double the files, or discard discrepancies.
I've about 10Gb of files that are showing the blue sync icon, most of them probably up to date on the server, but not being refreshed somehow. Check the files for invalid characters. Make sure you have the latest ODFB client. Step 3: Check the Network tab to make sure that upload and download speeds are not throttled or limited.
Under this solution, the first command will reset OneDrive as the local app data could be corrupt. The second one will update the OneDrive app to the latest version. Step 1: Search for and open Command Prompt with admin rights from the Start menu. Do you have permission to download and access the files in question?
You do if you are the creator of the file. But if the file was shared with you, I suggest you check with the admin first. Try uploading the file again or ask the other person to do it if you don't have it on your end. It is possible that the file is corrupted or wasn't uploaded fully. I recommend changing the file's name before reuploading to ensure there is no conflict or overwrite issues. Thankfully, Windows comes with a built-in Troubleshooter program that is extremely helpful in fixing the most common problems with a few clicks.
Here's how to summon and use it. Step 2: Make sure that Apply repairs automatically is checked in the pop-up that follows and then click on Next. Follow on-screen instructions after that to witness if the system can detect and fix the can't download from OneDrive issue.
This step will not delete any of your files in your OneDrive folder on the computer or in the cloud. Step 3: Open OneDrive app again, and you will be asked to sign in with your Microsoft account. Follow the steps after that, and choose the same folder location as before to resync everything quickly.
I use OneDrive and Google Drive. As some services in computer could also affect or interrupt the sync process of OneDrive, if you are convenience, you may try the Windows clean boot method in my last reply. As the clean boot will only start up Windows system with the necessary system services and see whether OneDrive can work as normally. Did you check my reply above about three different scenarios?
